The talk will provide general knowledge regarding Latvia’s indigenous
Livonian people, encompassing their historical background, cultural
practices, and linguistic heritage. We will reflect the interconnection
of the Livonian as an archaic but very modern, vibrant, and contemporary
language by looking back at the various historical events that have
influenced the current condition of the language and its future
perspectives.
